➡️ Where are you located?
I am in beautiful Victoria, BC on the unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ people.
➡️ What have been some of your favourite projects you’ve worked on while at Kano?
I've really enjoyed being part of recruiting at Kano! I'm always down for a good chat and really enjoy digging into who people are and whether they ultimately align with Kano's values.
➡️ What do you like most about working at Kano?
So many things! I'm treated like a whole person, I'm given lots of autonomy and I'm trusted to make decisions for both myself and the business. And the team is made up of such kind people - makes it hard not to like it here!
➡️ What do you like to do in your spare time?
To be honest, I spend most of my time talking about how handsome my cat is with my partner. Outside of that, I love getting out in nature, watching bad reality TV, reading YA books I wish I had when I was a teen and drinking over-steeped orange pekoe.
➡️ Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I once spent a summer living in a minivan and driving across Canada while moving from Ontario to Victoria. No job, no place to live, no plan! Just an intense desire to set up a life on Vancouver Island. 11 years later, I think I've done pretty good 😊
